VINYEAST

Yeasts are unicellular eukaryotic microorganisms that are taxonomically placed within the phyla Ascomycota and Basidiomycota within the Kingdom Fungi. Selected strains of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae that occur in nature were tested for their efficacy in the animal digestive tract and propagated in pure culture. VINYEAST is such a product consisting of live yeast culture derived from Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The reasons for their extensive use in food producing animals are its excellent nutritional contents and its easy supply in dried form.

Typically, VINYEAST composition is 90 – 97 percent dry matter and can contain from 30 to 45 percent crude protein nitrogen, 25 – 35 percent carbohydrates, and 3 – 7 percent lipids. A quite important fraction of the nitrogen is under the form on nucleic acids (up to 5 – 6 %). The amino acid profile is close to soybean meal and therefore well adapted to animal nutrition. It is rich in glutamic acid and lysine (up to 3 %). VINYEAST is also naturally rich in B vitamins such as biotin, thiamine and folic acid.

Benefits in various species:

CATTLE

  • Increases the milk yield by 500 ml to 1 litre per day
  • Increases butter fat yield
  • Improves fibre digestion to get maximum production of Volatile Fatty Acids
  • Provides more amino acids to the animal and increases the supply of microbial protein to intestines which saves cost of bypass protein
  • Less lactic acid and less methane is produced
  • Increases dry matter digestibility
  • Optimizes ruminal health

POULTRY

  • Stimulates immunity, has antagonistic action against pathogens
  • Its cell wall is highly effective broad-spectrum toxin binder
  • Ameliorates heat stress (maintains production)
  • Balances gut microflora and keeps gut healthy for maximum absorption of nutrients
  • Checks mortality, morbidity
  • Enhances production and profitability

AQUACULTURE

  • Improves feed conversion ratio for higher profitability
  • Builds up immunity against major pathogens
  • Reduces stress and thus mortality
  • Increases the length and weight of shrimp

FEEDING RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Shrimp / Prawns: 2 to 5 kg / tonne of feed
  • Fish: 1 to 3 kg / tonne of feed
  • Swine / Piglets: 2 to 5 kg / tonne of feed
  • Poultry / Cattle: 1 to 3 kg / tonne of feed
